The Moving Begins Part 3
Welcome to Part 3 of my 5 Part Moving Series!!!
So I officially began totally packing this past weekend weekend!
I started in the office. This is what I started with:

Then the part I dread most came: THE KITCHEN!!! I packed my glass dishes, bowls, wine glasses, the alcohol, my specialty glasses, cookie sheets, Tupperware, and other misc items. Then came the packing of the actual food!! I made a good dent in the pantry leaving out what we need …
I also packed all my clothes, the two bathrooms (minus what we need), and all the spices!
I still have Cory’s clothes to pack, the REST of the dang kitchen (which isn’t too much – I am just carrying the appliances over there and setting them in the cupboards. Not like we are moving out of town. It’s just down the street! Lol!). It still seems like I have tons more to pack and we only have three more nights here! Crazy cakes!
I am so excited to move into this new place though. It’s a 3 bedroom two bath, with a backyard, a shed, a spa, a washer and dryer, and the inside is totally remodeled! The kitchen was completely gutted out and a new one put it, there are hardwood floors and tile all throughout the house! It’s going to be like moving into a brand new house on the inside. I am super excited and cannot wait to decorate! Now if only we could skip to the actual physical moving part and just be there – I’d be happy!
So we’re getting the Uhaul Friday and moving it all Saturday. Cory’s new work schedule worked out perfect! He has every other weekend off and he has this weekend off. Hehe!
So yes he started his new 5am-1pm shift.
It’s weird he goes to bed before me now! Ekk! Lol!
Duncan doesn’t like it too much cause Charlie is up whenever I am up and then we both force Duncan to get up. He is not a morning doggy but he is getting use to it I think.
Anyway beyond that – not much else is new. Just packing packing packing!!

The Moving Begins – Part 2
Welcome to Part 2 of my 5 part moving series. So before I begin let me first introduce you all to the newest member of our Family!
Yes there are now TWO of them!! Meet Charlie Brown!! He’s a 7 year old min pin we rescued from the human society. My friend Shannon works there and I just happened to mention that the only way Duncan would get a play mat would be if it was another min pin. I am usually a cat person! I have had cats my whole life until I met Cory. We did have a cat when I first met him but she ran away and hopefully found a wonderful family, but Cory is allergic to cats. So when we got Duncan it was perfect cause he’s short haired and the perfect pet for us. I love my min pin!! So I told Cory when we discussed it several months ago that we could get another dog if and only if it was another min pin. So Shannon texts me a picture of Charlie and tells me he’s been there for like a month. He lived with an older lady (I believe) who was sick and was close to dying. It was a sad story and who can resist the face!! So we went and got him.
Charlie and Duncan are buddies now! You know for a fat little thing and older may I add – Charlie sure is a horn ball! 
hehe! But yeah he’s an awesome dog!! A little fat – so he must go on diet – but him and Duncan are perfect together!!
So yeah that is what is new in our life. On the packing front – well …. we got all the nick nacks and pictures packed!! Hehe!! Yeah I know – one weekend left and I have soooo much to do! Oya! Oh well!! It’s business like normal – waiting till last minute to pack!
But the reason for my lack of packing this past weekend is because I was working. I went with Buster to the Special Olympics and to the Elks Dinner Saturday night - 
So I sort of procrastinated all weekend on the packing thing. Hehe!
Sunday was St. Patty’s Day! I made my famous green cake - 
It was yummy like always! I’ll post the recipe later today for it.
So Cory got a promotion and raise at work – so he starts a new shift next week which actually works out perfect cause he gets every other weekend off and the weekend we move he gets off! Yeah! So we’ll be officially moving the 30th! I am excited!! We ended up having to pay a pet deposit cause we got another dog but that’s okay – I supposed Charlie Brown is worth it! Hehe! But yeah I really am looking forward to moving into this place. The owners are really doing a good job remodeling. It’s going to be amazing! I’ll post lots of pics – don’t worry!

Bread, Cars and Valentines
This had to have been the best Valentines day in a long time. You all remember that lady bug flower Cory got me?
Well I was at work Thursday about to leave actually with Buster to head to Kingman for a lunch meeting and this guy came in with flowers. I said they must be for Sue cause Cory already got me flowers but they were for me! They were a dozen roses from Cory! He said the lady bug was to throw me off and boy did it! I was very surprised!
Then when I got home Cory made me the amazing spaghetti bread
and we ate and watched Nashville, some of Idol, Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal. It was good times !
I love my baby!
Anyway I’m sitting at AAMCO getting my oil changed. I’m off work till Friday cause Monday is a holiday and the I’m taking Mem to Cali Wednesday for her doctor appointment at USC. We’re staying the night at Leanne’s.

Project 365: Copy & Paste
My day consisted of copying and pasting at work and doing our yearly budget at home with Cory when I got off. No kidding. Lol! I am happy for this new year. Cory and I are more financially secure then we were last year. 2013 thus far is looking good.

Project 365 – Back To Work I Go
Well I went back to work today. It was my first day back in two weeks. I was excited to go back because today was the board meeting. But I have to say the meeting actually wasn’t as exciting as I thought it would be. A lot of the items on the agenda got pushed back to February. They did instate a call to the public and they put it at the beginning of the meeting. They failed to put a time period on the call to the public. So my question is – is somebody allowed to just get up and start rambling on and on for hours. Is there going to be any order to this call to the public ? I’m sure the next meeting which is Monday should be interesting when they allow the public to speak endlessly. They appointed Mike Hendrix as interim county manager. Beyond that though I thought the meeting was rather boring I was expecting some big fireworks or something but that all will be pushed back to February.
So you want to hear some juicy gossip guess who is going to be working part time for Mr. Moss? Mrs. Freemont! Yes you heard me correct the Mrs. Fremont! I suppose it could be worse it could be Mr. Robinson.
Anyway beyond that my day back at work was rather good.

Thanksgiving Is Coming
I seriously cannot believe that tomorrow is Thanksgiving! Where has the time gone?! Oya!
So alright what part of FRIDAY in Black Friday do stores not understand? Since when did Black Friday become Black Thursday?! I mean really people? I was going to ban all shopping tomorrow until I realized I read the Family Dollar Ad wrong and that their toys are on sale TOMORROW morning starting at 8am not Friday! So looks like I’m getting out of bed tomorrow morning to go to Family Dollar and to Kmart for their Thanksgiving sales. Whatever!! I’m still getting up and doing Black Friday ON Friday! I have JcPenny’s to go to, Petsmart (they have the dogs no-bark sonic egg thing on sale), Staples, and Hastings. But whatever – poop!!
So anyway the Thanksgiving plan for us is this – we’re having dinner at the parents tomorrow at four. We invited Aunt Denise, Jay and the kids down because I refuse to let them go to Laughlin or something and eat dinner out. It’s pointless when right down the street is us and we have PLENTY of food! Tonight I’m making apple pie and tomorrow I’m making sweet potato casserole and some orange glazed carrots. That’ll be my contribution to dinner. I’ve never made sweet potato casserole before so if it doesn’t turn out – don’t blame me! We always blame allrecipes.com cause that’s where I get ALL my recipes (for the most part) from.
I attempted to make this pumpkin fudge last night and totally failed. I NEED a candy thermometer and until I get one I cannot make fudge unless it’s my famous peanut butter fudge that does NOT require a candy thermometer!
Anyway so what has been happening since my last update? Well the two anniversaries (my parents and Cory and I’s) plus my Birthday were all celebrated on the 13th of November at Chili’s with the family. I got Grandma to order a Presidential Mango Margarita. Haha! She just drank a little bit so I ended up taking hers home and fishing it. But it was funny! I ordered sweet potato fries and a quesadilla. I know it’s a weird combo but it was my birthday and that’s what I wanted. We of course got our lava cake (or whatever their big huge chocolate yummy cake is) to go. It was good times!
Mem and Pops got me a gift card to JcPenny’s. I haven’t spent it all yet but I got a nice pair of black boats! Oh yeah by the way – Cory got the job at JCP! So not only did I get a nice pair of black boots but I got them at a discounted price. Haha! : )
So I took my birthday off of work and it just so turned out to be a four day weekend for me cause of Veterans Day. The Women’s Club had their luncheon on the 12th and Flora Jessop came and spoke to us about her ordeal with polygamy and Colorado City. If any of you ever get a chance to hear her speak – I recommend you take it. She has an amazing story. I remember when I first started working for Buster back in High School I was reading the stuff on polygamy in Colorado City and was amazed that this was ACTUALLY happening and in Mohave County! And here we are seven years later and it’s STILL happening! Just because Warren Jeffs is in jail doesn’t mean the abuse of women and children in Colorado City has stopped! In some cases, according to Flora’s story, it has gotten worse! She did an amazing job speaking. Meeting didn’t even get out till after 2.
Anyway beyond that – I’ve just been busy with work, Christmas Cards, paper work, organizing the house, etc, etc.

Well yesterday was LAUNDRY DAY! The babes stayed home from work cause he was sick. He threw up the other night and his tummy was bothering him. So he stayed home, but i made him come due laundry. So Robert got an early bday gift from the character. The new pokemon DX (or whatever) gamecub system which comes with the game and a specialized gamecub. Do we have a gamecub? YES! LoL! Well now we have two. lol We gave the other one to Brooke Character so now she has her own. lol
Today
Math – I took a test. It seemed okay except the last couple problems.
Economics – Ummm … we learned more on health care specifically medicare and then went into crime and punishment.
Philosophy – I GOT AN 84 on the test! :p I pay no attention in that class, but I enjoy the reading plush I did pay attention in the review session. :p So Im happy there!
French – We took a quiz and went over saying the time of day more and what not. -nods
Then I got my hair done at Cost Cutters. I’ll post pics soon (but I dont feel the pics came out good due to the lighting in the room or whatnot) but I’ll still post them
Anyway, then I came home and here I am. The babes is playing his pokemon game and Character at work. -shrugs
So Sarah’s ganna get a job. Why? BECAUSE IM BORED!!!!!! I CAN’T SIT AT HOME ANYMORE AND DO NOTHING! We are perfectly fine on money but the babes starts his six month scheduale in Nov. and works 2-11. Im sorry I can’t sit home and do nothing because character works nights too. So yeah, Sarah’s ganna get a job. -nods- Just to have SOMETHING to do. Plus then we’ll have TONS AND TONS of spending money (an extra 1000+ a month with the money Robert has left over) and YES that’s if I ACTUALLY pay my part of the bills we STILL have over 1,000 a month to spend on whatever the hell we want. Which will be nice. The babes has Friday and Saturday off so whatever job I get I’ll make sure I get friday and saturday off. It works out great cause we can come back to Havasu for Xmas. :p
So Sarah gets a kitty next month. Babes wants two. So more than likely if all works out we’ll get two. IM HAPPY!
Im STILL naming it Edward weither Robert nor ANYONE else says no. It’s MY cat. He can name his cat whatever he wants. But my kitty gets named Edward since the chance of me naming my child Edward got thrown out the window a long time ago. lol
Anyway that’s the latest.

The Complicated Life of Sarah Ann Hall
Well it’s not really THAT complicated! I just ramble a lot! Case in point! This blog! Sorry for it being so long … actually no I’m not sorry! It was my intention! Haha!
So last weekend (which was like 2 days ago) I worked! Well I only worked Saturday. I was “on call” for Friday and Mic calls me at five when I get off work at the day job and is begging for me to agree to being “on call” because see the night/day prior Cory was in the ER with a hurt arm/shoulder/elbow (really am still not sure which) and he had to get his arm in a sling (I think he hurt it moving that TV stand up the stairs but that’s just my opinion) so he called out for Friday and I called out too cause I was too tired to work a day job and a night job and everything else. But anyway I was in a GOOD mood when I got off work (at the day job) on Friday so I agreed to go in Friday night ‘if he NEEDED ME!’ Yeah he never called. Cory and I ended up lying in bed and watching Vampire Diaries.
Side note – you want to know what’s really sad? Now that Brooke and I aren’t friends I am going and falling in love with ALL these shows she use to watch. Like One Tree Hill! OmG! That show is like on my top fav of all time right now! I just started season five where they do the “five years later” thing. Anyway so yeah – she use to watch Vampire Dairies too! Well now Cory has gotten me into watching that.
Anyway Saturday I worked 6pm-3am. Friday was pay day for most – aka: social security day – so everyone seemed to be in a good mood. I don’t think I picked up one grumpy person! It was nice.
There were moments of boredom though …
Oh so our computer decided to crash on Saturday. We brought it back to life of course, but Cory and I are both fed up with it. So we called around and well we FINALLY broke down and decided to get an IMac. Now even with the ‘Mic Job’ (I’m going to all it that! I hope he doesn’t mind! Lol!) we can’t afford to buy out right an IMac. They starts at like $1200!! And there is no way Apple will finance us. So we called Rent a Center and they said they could get us an IMac by Monday (they just had to go to Bullhead to get it). Okay! We can at least try and pay it off before 24 months and not have all that interest (which we will attempt our damn hardest cause interest is crazily insane!). So as of Monday, I am now an official Apple Computer Owner. ::ehhhh:: This should be interesting.
Anyway so Sunday Cory and I went to check out the gym on the Island by Shagrue’s. I believe it is called London Bridge Racket and Fitness (don’t quote me on that though). He gets a free gym membership with Medicare and Humana. So I went to check it out. I’ve never been to a gym before (except that one time Robert, Brooke and I went when the Dearfield Apts had a contract with that one gym in Tucson which was like WAY across town! I mean seriously if you’re going to contract with a gym for your residents couldn’t you pick a gym that wasn’t WAY across town! Hence why we probably only went there a couple times! Just saying!). Anyway they have month to months memberships which I may try out. I think I’m going to take my commission I made on Saturday from the ‘Mic Job’ (haha! I really like that! Come on! It’s funny! You all know it’s funny!) and buy a month membership. We shall see if it pays off! I mean it doesn’t hurt to try. Right? If I end up not doing it – then I won’t waste the $42 NEXT month!
Anyway after that we went to Walgreens for like TWO ITEMS and we ended up with a $30 bill (always happens). But they had a PINK stylus for my phone! So I can play the Draw game on the Iphone (I know I can’t draw but hey at least I try). Then we got a new Iphone cord cause SOMEHOW SOMEBODY keeps losing all our cords (just saying!).
After that we WANTED to go to the Flame Broiler for dinner but they are closed on Sundays (how rude! What is with places being closed on Sundays! It’s not a Holiday you know!). So we went to Panda Express. I liked my food but Cory wasn’t happy. They are way too overpriced if you ask me. I doubt we will be going back there in a while.
And then we FINALLY went and saw the new Bat Man movie at Ultra Star. I liked it! Especially the ending when it all came together. : ) I still don’t get the whole ‘two faced’ story though. I didn’t think Two Faced died in The Dark Knight. I mean Two Face was like a main villain in the cartoons. Right? And in the movie Two Face was Two Face for like Two seconds and then he died. Whatever! I don’t recall the masked man in this story in any of the cartoons but what do I know. I wasn’t an avid Batman watcher but I did catch a few episodes. And maybe I really didn’t watch that much Batman as a kid but did Batman really end up with Cat Woman? Hmmm … strangeness!
Anyway so we got the new Imac yesterday! Ehhhh! It’s TOTALLY different than a PC and going to take getting use too. We still have our PC. So we’ll see at the end of it all which one is better. I do like that my phone, Ipad and computer are going to sync perfectly! Hehe! I must do more research though because I have NEVER EVER used a Mac before! EVER! Not even when I was younger. I have ALWAYS been a PC girl. So this is like a totally new playground for me.
Anyway so there’s an update on what is new in my life. Maybe I’ll take a video with my new computer and upload it later to the blog. The Imac comes with a built in Video Camera. I <3 it!

My Weekend Recap
On Friday when I got off work I went and picked up Mem, Pops and Grandma. Well actually I drove over there – we took their van. Lol! Pops still can’t drive so they needed someone to take them to Walmart. We stopped and got dinner at Burger King first. They are a bit salty but I LOVE their sweet potatoes fries! Yum! After that off we went to Walmart.
Now we had Grandma with us – so it took a while!! We left the house at 545. When all was said and done, I got home around 10pm. : ) But hey it’s Grandma – she took 45 minutes picking out cards. ::shrugs:::
Anyway I got some stuff we needed around the house, some groceries and I FOUND a patty maker for $4! I was going to p
ay $9 +shipping on Amazon! Haha! I <3 it!
Oh speaking of Amazon – we ordered a new guinea pig cage for our babies!! Their old one is just too old. It was nice when we first got it, but the pigs are getting fatter and fatter and needed a bigger cage. Should be here Thursday – I HOPE!! : )
So I worked for Mic on Saturday as did Cory. He texted us and asked us to come in a bit late at like 6 so we weren’t standing in the heat waiting for the vans to get back to the yard. Well anyway then he called at like 515 and said my van was down and needed repaired. It needed a new alternator. So we swung by Dale’s and got Dick (who was driving it when it broke down) to take back to the yard. Cory went off and did his thing and I went to Auto Zone to get the alternator. I didn’t actually hit the road till 830. Then Cory’s van over heated. Oya!! So he was out from like 8 to 1130ish. Yeah crazy night!! But whatever! As Mic always says “it is what it is!” (I like that saying!)
Sunday was rest day (sort of ). I went to Albertsons for a few items (mainly Cory wanted Coke. He is now addicted to it! Thanks to Mic – NOT ME! I drink Diet! Mic’s the one who gave him a 20 pack!).
I made this amazing pepper corn pork chop yesterday that I got at Walmart on Friday! Omg! It was amazing and only was $4 something. Yummy!! I so am going to have to get some more of them.
Anyway that was my weekend!!

My 2012 Fourth of July
While I was driving to work the other day a thought crossed my mind: I live three different lives (or so it seems).
Life #1: Sarah Markham-Hall. Some people still seem to want to call me by my former last name. To them I am Sarah Markham. The girl with her little day time job who is sweet and innocent. Well okay they all know I’m NOT innocent but they wish to think I am even though deep down they know better. They have at least read a couple chapters of AOTM. Sarah Markham views life as ‘it is what you get.’ It’s not about hope or faith: it’s about getting what you want out of life by just going after it and getting the best result. Hope and faith are for the religious which as innocent and sweet as some claim she is: she is NOT religious.
Life #2: Sarah Hall. Some people ACTUALLY do call me by my REAL last name. Amazing isn’t it? These people know me as the girl who makes mistakes, works NOW 2 JOBS (I’ll get to that later), tries the best she can and never feels like it’s enough, and worries (a lot) about stupid shit that Life #1 and #3 probably would never worry about. But she still has hope. For some strange absurd reason no matter how hard life gets she has hope and she clings on to that hope to get her through the day.
Life #3: Ann Mathews. Ah, the infamous Ann Mathews! The best friend of none other than Justin Lenox. The girl people fear, hate, love and loath all at the same time. She gets what she wants and she doesn’t give a damn who she hurts in the process even if it is her best friend. Ann Mathews doesn’t do religion and she doesn’t do hope and faith. She does revenge. And Ann’s new moto seems to be the following: The ending is far more exciting than the beginning. Ann – the one with the most kept secrets.
Yes I feel like I live three lives. I act certain ways around certain people. I am the Markham, Hall or Mathews. All of which probably wouldn’t be friends with each other in real life.
So how do we combine the three into one? That is my question? Because it gets REALLY tiring living three different lives. Or well so it seems ….
Anyway so yesterday was the FOURTH of JULY! Ahhh a nice relaxing … yeah no!! Lol! Mic texted me at 8am and of course ya know me – “The Markham side of me kicks in” – I HAVE to call him back and then he spills his own guilt trip on how he needs me to work because the radios died and he needs dependable drivers with cell phones and yada yada yada. So FINE! I cave! Lol!
But before work – Mem and I went out. We went to Burger King for lunch. I got their new BBQ Whopper. Holy crap are those things messy! I kid you not we used like TEN napkins each! And then we went to Styles and Rue 21 because I wanted new clothes!! I ended up getting a pair of capri pants, shorts and three tanks at Walmart (one was fourth of Julyish). Then we went to Walmart. Mem had a list. With Pops cooped up she hadn’t been out to Walmart in a while. So she had a list. I got a few items. And that was that! : )
I came home, did a couple loads of laundry, watched Pretty Little Liars and then off I went to work at 5ish.
Ya know it really WASN’T THAT BUSY! Mic TOTALLY could have done FINE without me! Whatever – I made $20 in tips and $23 in commission. It’s something I supposed.
$$ to put towards going out and seeing RC and Roxanne (Cory’s brother and sister-in-law) in September. Fun times!!!
Anyway got off at 11, came home, relaxed and went to bed.
Then I went back to my day job!
And THAT is the life of Sarah! Mic wants me to work EVERY OTHER WEEKEND with Cory. Okay! It’s $$ right? Hehe! Besides I am good! I must admit!

5 Down – 7 More To Go
Before I begin the May recap, I want to state this: I think I’m going to take a month break from blogging. I know!! Shocking!! But I want to try something. I want to write for me – unedited – for one month without the world being able to read it and I want to see how much more real I am. I’ll probably still post my Free Write Fridays and whatnot, but I just wanna try and be me (unedited) and for some reason I feel I can’t do that publicly at the moment.

Read 12 books in 2012I read 2 books this month! Go me!! I read Rogue’s Hallow and also The Fault In Our Stars (haven’t done a book review on it though) for the #twookclub.
- Go vacation in a state I haven’t ever vacationed in before Still a work in progress … looking very doubtful this will happen this year.
- Lose at least 5lbs (10 is actually what I would prefer to lose but I am trying to keep this reasonable) by summer Well … I’m not doing a real good job on this goal! I really lack in energy! I don’t know what’s wrong. I think I need to make that doctor appointment.
Finally launch my web design business site & get the business fully up and runningNo new clients but the site is up and running.Create 12 of my own unique food recipesI made my Cinco De Mayo Chicken Enchiladas! Yummy!Enroll in some sort of continuing education by 2013, wither it be graduate school or another B.S. programI officially went down to MCC and talk to an advising counseling. I have 2 yrs at MCC to get an associates in Web Design. I don’t know though if I wanna do it yet … 4 more years of college?? Really?? Eh, maybe I’ll just go get some nursing certificate or something. ::shrugs::Build up our savings account to at least have $1500 in it by year endWe actually HAVE a savings account with $175 (as of Tuesday when I get paid for the extra job I worked during Memorial Weekend). We paid off our deposit on the new place, have money set aside for electric and Cory and I both purchased one thing we wanted with our extra money (I got a Magic Bullet and he got a Keurig machine).- Interact more with the blogging community I try but fail at times …
May 2012 In Review
I started the month off trying to be more OUT there and open in this blog but I feel I failed by months end!
We had our house warming party & got some awesome gifts!!
Cory started his new job for the shuttle company! At first I wasn’t happy but I’m okay with it now. : )
I worked at Cory’s work for some extra $$ during the Memorial Day Holiday.
I started my “Who To Vote For Series” with the Az House & Senate Candidates (on the Republican ticket mind you!).
Beyond that the month was filled with work, work and a party!! But all in all good times!

You know what I am sick of?
I am sick of people telling me how to blog in their blog posts. I have been doing this for ten years now. Granted blogging has changed in 10 years. It is now ‘popular’ to blog whereas back in the day I was just the crazy girl who posted her entire life on the internet. However, I still feel like that crazy girl at times, because I don’t follow the guidelines of ‘how to blog.’ I don’t care about the number of visitors I receive (however it is nice to see that number going up), I don’t care if I’m ‘politically correct’ or not, and if I don’t like you 9 times out of 10 I will state it on this blog (this isn’t a fluff piece blog people – I can be a bitch and I’m not afraid to post it). I don’t follow the blogging ethical guidelines many people write about, and I doubt that’ll happen at any point in time.
With that said: let’s talk about my weekend!!
So I worked this weekend for Cory’s boss, Mick, at the shuttle place he works at. Honestly – it wasn’t that fun! It was kind of … boring! Granted the phones were ringing and drivers were driving around picking people up, but I still found it boring. The job reminded me also why I don’t work in retail anymore. Drama!! Drama!! Drama!! Now we all know I love drama and I’m not saying my job currently doesn’t come with its fair share but I think the difference between my job now and retail is when I worked in retail the drama was centered around the job. The drama in my current job is not centered around the job – I work with three people (most of the time it’s just Sue and I) and we get along great! No drama! The drama centers around Ms. Fremont (oh right Mrs. sorry!) and her posse of people outside of the office. So in other words – there’s no actual drama within the walls of the office between the employees whereas in retail – OMG! Drama!! Drama!! Drama!! This one drive (we’ll just call her sixteen) obviously ruined the weekend for the rest of us. See the pay I received was based off of the average of all the drivers. So six drivers – who SHOULD have averaged $400 (like the hubby did cause he is awesome) would have equaled out to $100 per day for the dispatch employees who get 25% commission. But people like sixteen and oh eleven who decided to (in my opinion anyway) pocket half of their sales and not actually account for them ruined the average for everyone resulting in commission wise me only making $100 for two days. So do I feel the work I put in was worth only $100? No! Granted the tip money hasn’t been paid out yet nor has Sunday’s pay, but still … !! Ah whatever – all in all – $100 is $100!! Cory though did AWESOME this weekend!! He made a good $800 in a week!! So with his money and my money we did manage to make over $1000 in a weekend! So hey – that expectation I mentioned a couple days ago actually came true! Woo!!
We got enough money to know: pay off the rental deposit, pay off the electric deposit, and STILL have enough $$ to put a good $200 into the boat repairs! Wooo! : )
I liked working with Mick so I did tell him I’d return on the 4th of July weekend(s) to help (can u believe the fourth falls on a dang Wednesday!! What the frack? Oh well that just means two weekends to party and celebrate … right?).
Anyway that REALLY is all Cory and I did all weekend. I was supposed to work just Friday and Saturday BUT plans changed. I ended up working Sunday cause the parents decided (and well me too) that to go the Hoover Dam on a Holiday weekend was NOT the smartest idea … so yeahhh! We didn’t go! Instead I worked an extra shift.
Sunday afternoon we went to Aunt Denise’s for Jay and Andrew’s birthday. 
Andrew wanted $$ to go to a summer camp this summer – so everyone pitched in and he is going. I wanna go! That is one thing I wish I would have done when I was a kid. It would have been awesome to attend a camp. Grrr! Oh well, I’ll make my kids go.
Speaking of kids – EVERYONE IS PREGNANT EXCEPT FOR ME!! I swear to God – EVERY day one of my blogger friends that I follow is announcing they are pregnant!! And my friend, Leslie, just had a baby this past weekend. Grrrr!! Where’s my baby huh? Stupid stork forgot to come to my house … never fails! Whatever!
Anyway back to my 8-5 job … I like my 8-5 job! : )
24Hrs of Being Awake
It can make you go crazy sometimes!!!
I went to bed at 5am this morning. Yes, I was officially up for 24hrs!! Craziness!!
Trust me I was dead tired by 5am. You know I don’t know how people do the whole ‘two job,’ go to school, thing! But I use to be one of those people. I would get up at 5am and go to school, then from there I’d go work for Buster and then after that I’d go work at Albertsons (and if I wasn’t working at Albertsons I was hanging out with my friends and doing homework till 1am to 2am in the morning). Yes that was a typical Monday through Friday in my life during my last semester of high school. I was 18 then. Wow what a difference 7 years makes. I could never do that now!
But anyway so I had my coffee and soda to keep me awake yesterday. It was busy. We had calls going non-stop and the bar rush was pretty busy. They say tonight will be crazier though (I am sure). Cory made $270 in fares and some good tip money. Not sure how much I made – I make like 10% of tips and 25% of the drivers average fares. Cory makes 30% of his fares. I figure all in all we probably pulled a good $250-$300 between the two of us last night. We get paid Tuesday – so we’ll know for sure then. But yeah it was fun. Got to meet Cory’s boss. He’s hilarious and this other girl, Sabrina, is pretty awesome too.
The actual job of dispatcher is not that hard. I thought it’d be harder and more challenging, but honestly it wasn’t. You answer the phone, dispatch the call out so the drivers known where to go (and sometimes give them directions if they don’t have GPS), and write down the call in information and what driver took care of the call. Not too hard. Tonight might be more challenging because there will be more drivers on and the phones will be busier I am sure.
But yeah got out of there around 330am. Cory got out a little bit after me. He didn’t work till six cause the breaks in his van were going out which means if they don’t get fixed today we’ll have no backup van for tonight. Ekk! But anyway Cory brought breakfast home from Jack in the Box at 430am. I watched an episode of One Tree Hill, ate my breakfast and went to bed.
And now here I am at 150pm!! I have to be back to work at 6pm. So I’m gonna go watch some One Tree Hill, get ready, eat and yeah … ! Fun times!

A Busy Week & A Double Weekend Ahead
So this week has been a rather busy week. It is one week away from the deadline to turn in signatures to qualify for the ballot here in Arizona. I will be glad when signatures are done with. Gathering signatures is the main reason why I could never actually do the whole political thing. It’s SO not my favorite part of the process. But I did manage to collect my boss some signatures and get my ten and my parents ten signatures for PC. Yes my parents are going to be PCs (I am serious about getting the crazies out of the party oh and Ron Gould). I got my brother to sign up as well (but he got his own signatures). Oya!
So work was busy this week. Well okay Tuesday wasn’t soo much but I had a project to work on so it seemed busy. Anyway, Wednesday Congressman Jeff Flake (who is running for Arizona Senate since Senator Kyl is retiring) was in town. He went up to Horizon Six and viewed the water detention basin project up there. I have never been up there. I didn’t realize Horizon Six was RIGHT by my parents house. It’s just a couple blocks up. Hm, anyway it was neat. I tagged along to take pictures! I am picture girl after all. Anyway then Flake went to the Republican Headquarters to speak to a small group of PCs. So we went up and heard him speak. It was good times. 
Interesting fact: the last time the United States Senate passed a budget was before the FIRST generation Ipad was EVER realized. That’s crazy! They are on Ipad 3!!
Anyway, then today was filled with meetings. Tomorrow – well tomorrow is Friday!
It’s going to be a BUSY BUSY night for me. I work 8-5 at my main job and then get off and am working dispatch at Cory’s job from 7-3am. They always hire extras for Holiday Weekends. So I told them I’d work Friday and Saturday from 7-3am. I am hoping it’ll be some extra cash. These past two nights Cory hasn’t made very good money cause they over hire (I always hate when Albertsons did that) but then again the weekend hasn’t OFFICIALLY started yet so hopefully tomorrow will be busy. I hope … !! But yeah should be interesting. I’m actually looking forward to it. It’s something different and something to do to keep me out of trouble.
Monday I’m supposed to take the parents and Grandma to see the Hoover Dam. Well actually they want to see the new Bypass Bridge. Why I don’t know – it’s JUST a bridge! But I told them you can still drive on the Hoover Dam if you cross into Nevada. So we’ll see if we actually end up going to the Hoover Dam or to a bridge. Lol!
Anyway busy busy weekend – not sure when I’ll get a chance to update, but I’ll try and keep you all posted on this crazy Memorial Day weekend!

Anyway I felt bad about last night. So I wrote Cory this email this AM. I wanted to make sure he knew he was appreciated.
My love,I just wanted to apologize for my actions last night. I want you to know that I really do appreciate you going out and finding a job. The money you bring in will help us extremely. I am sorry if I come across as a selfish bitch and ungrateful for the fact you went out and got a job. I am very grateful. I will get use to you not being around a couple nights a week. It’s not the end of the world. Besides you can come home, tell me all about your day (well night actually) at work (and all the juicy gossip cause you know I like juicy gossip) and we can hang out in the AM which is something we never got to do before. But I do appreciate you and everything you do – I just wanted to say that. You mean the world to me. I know I don’t say it enough.I love you!!Sarah

Well I am feeling better but I still have my moments. Like this morning I did not want to get out of bed. I felt blah! Some mornings are like that for me. I always feel better when I take a shower though.
Cars! I HATE CARS!! Spending $475 on an oil change, tires and alignment! Why are cars so dang expensive!!
Waiting 2.5 hours for WalMart to fill an RX!
Motivation!! I lack motivation! I don’t know how many times this week I have sat down to do my chapters 1-5 re-writes for Affair of the Mind and end up staring at a blank page for an hour until I finally give up. I did manage to get Chapter 1 re-wrote but I’m just in a blah mood. I want to finish the re-writes before March (like I said I would) and release them on my AOTM site, but for some reason I just can’t find the motivation to do so.

However speaking of motivation – I DID manage to re-do my site layout!! : ) Valentine’s Day is over and as much as I LOVED my heart shaped theme, I had to do something different. Mem gave Cory & I her old bread machine!! She hasn’t used the thing in ages and all it was doing was sitting around collecting dust. So she gave it to us! : ) So last night we made homemade cinnamon raisin bread! It was delicious!! 
We set up Debbie’s fish tank this week!! It looks amazing 
and I can’t believe how much Molly has grown. Remember Molly was the ONE fish we ended up saving when our Dalmatian Molly gave birth that weekend we were going to California last September/October I believe. Molly is a fighter & she’s going to get huge like her daddy (we have her daddy – mommy died giving birth).
A four day work week thanks to President’s Day!! It’s always nice to have an extra day off!
I’m now a red head! Spent way too much money on a color and cut BUT I <3 it!
Finding a cute pair of jeans at the Thrift Store & buying them!!
I finished the book Sarah’s Key yesterday for the #twookclub chat this weekend. Omg! I haven’t read that good of a book in a long time. It definitely is going on my favs list. It’s an amazing book. If you like anything themed around WWII you HAVE to read the book!

A Monday Night Update
So this weekend I was rather lazy. I think I got food poisoning from Denny’s, but to be perfectly honest I’m not sure. I didn’t feel good most of the weekend. Saturday I did the one thing I rarely do – lay around and not actually complain about laying around! Cory and I did manage to go out and get a tid bit of groceries and some gas for the car. But mostly my stomach was acting up all weekend.
Cory shampooed the carpets on Sunday and I half way cleaned the office. I got half way done and then didn’t feel that great anymore. Lol!
It’s Monday now – and I seem to be ok.
I had an interesting day at work. For most of the morning, I was computer-less because apparently my computer got some sort of virus with Windows 7 and Novell and my user profile was lost. It was insane! It made me realize how much we all depend on a computers and how we are truly lost without them. It eventually got fixed (after a partial restore and my profile being re-created) and I was back in business! : )
Anyway just wanted to write a quick update. Not much else going on. Dusty and Tina are coming on Sunday and I have next Monday and Tuesday off so we can all hang. I have never met them before – so it should be exciting!

The weather!! It has been extra cold it seems this week. I want my warm weather back! I found all these cute summer/spring clothes while cleaning out Debbie’s house the other day and granted I am wearing them with sweaters and whatnot but they’d look SO much cuter without the jackets/sweaters!!
So I am trying to have a new outlook on things. My raise that was supposed to go through on tomorrow’s check won’t get put on until next pay check. There was a “technical/paper work” glitch we’ll say. So anyway I’ll get the $$ I was supposed to get this pay check on the next one because of it. So we have to put off the dog’s doctor appointment until the 6th because we just can’t afford it without that raise. I could get all pissed off about it but I have decided not too. Life happens. I’ll have the extra $$ next check for the dog. It’s ok. Nothing I can do about it. So although this is a ‘wine’ I am trying not to get too worked up over it. Like I said – life happens!

American Idol started this week! I haven’t watched it yet. It’s still sitting in my DVR but I will!! But the point is that it started to Idol Commentary shall return!
Blogging & my website! I started work on the Forgotten Reviews post I intend to release in April to the new members only section of my site!! : )
I got some new stuff but only because Brooke turned over all her stuff to Debbie when she left (I will be nice and give her mom some of the stuff I feel is ‘personal’ and should be returned). Dusty & Tina are coming the first week in February so we cleaned out Brooke’s room & the rest of the house. Debbie found some cute PJs to give me. A little baggy but they are comfy.
Adam Lambert was on Jay Leno & Ellen this week! Ahhh! I <3!!
It was a 4 day work week this week due to Martin Luther King Jr day!! 4 day work weeks are always a plus!
My boss announced his bid for re-election! That’s always a good thing because if he wins – I still have a job!! So let’s make sure he wins! Go District 3 Supervisor! : )

We’re All Okay – Day 3
Well today was a busy day back at the office! I get to work to find my desk piled high with paper work and Christmas cards. I spent most of the day going through emails, scanning files, and adding or crossing off people on the boss’s Xmas card list. Lol! I can say by the end of the day all the Christmas cards were read, I can see my desk again and my email doesn’t have 57 unread messages. Not bad though for being gone for two weeks. Work was busy today. Not busy as in anybody called or came in busy but busy as in I had something to keep me occupied all day busy.
Anyway so beyond my day, I’d like to talk about something that was on my mind today. I got an email before Christmas saying that a person dear to me had passed away. Now I didn’t know her real well. We talked once a month for no more than an hour. I didn’t know her outside the Republican Women Luncheons every 2nd Monday of the month, but she was still someone I enjoyed talking too and one of those people that maybe you don’t “really” know but they leave some sort of lasting impact on you. I enjoyed going to those lunches knowing I could walk in and sat down and have a convo with Margot. She passed away in her sleep before Christmas. She was in her 80′s but she was an amazing person. For some reason I woke up today and thought about her and than I thought about Brooke.
I feel like I have lived the past year with this big pile of regret. I feel like I regret everything I ever did. Every choice I made in life because my life turned out so horrible. But when I think about it – my life didn’t turn out horrible. Sure maybe I made a few mistakes here and there, but life could be 100x worse. I could have gotten mixed up with drugs, become a drug addict and married the drug dealer. I could have not went to college. I could have gotten pregnant at 16 and have 5 babies by now. At the end of the day – my life is okay. I’m not a 25 year old mom of six, a drug addict, nor a college drop out. Not that being a mother at 16 is the worst thing in the world, but what I’m saying is I could have turned out far worse than I did. Life could be far worse than it is.
Why Margot and Brooke made me think of that I don’t know. Margot just seemed like the type of person who took the grain with the salt if you know what I mean. I guess her passing made me stop and think about how short life is and how much I never want to end up where Brooks is right now and how grateful after everything that happened that things didn’t turn out worse than I made them seem.
I left the December meeting like I do all the time and gave Margot a hug, wished her Merry Christmas and told her I’d see her in January. Well she won’t be at Monday’s meeting. Either way I hope she finds her peace and I will truly miss her. The lunches won’t be the same.
With that – I didn’t take a picture today for my Photo of the Day. I wanted to post this picture from the Lincoln Day Dinner 2010. She was an amazing date!

How do you balance your children, relationship, and work life?
I don’t have children so I’ll replace children with friends. Well I work Monday through Friday 8-5. I spend time with the hubby when I get home. Sometimes I’ll hang with friends on the weekends but not lately. I think I balance work and my relationship pretty good. It’s more balancing friends and a relationship that’s hard. However I am not going to blame Cory for Brooke and I no longer hanging out as much. I told her I was coming over on Sunday and she suddenly had to go see her dad in Kingman. I found the story kind of fishy but whatever. Beyond that, I feel I do okay balancing work and life. : )
Now balancing work, hubby and the rest of the family is an ENTIRE different story … and one I am not good at! There is just not enough time in a day! ::sigh:: It makes me frustrated!
