Read MoreNot So Cokey & Lovey This Week
I have decided that I am king of tired of doing my Coke & Love Series. It’s not that I don’t like doing it. I’m just tired of doing it. Shouldn’t I be updating everyday about my not so exciting life for you all to read instead of once a week with a “weekly” not so popular series? I think so. It’s how it used to be and people seemed to like the out there, in your face, not so edited version of ME and well I kind of liked that too. So maybe we should get back to business. Let’s get back to me being here for “your entertainment” purposes (yes I am STILL in love with Adam Lambert) because let’s face it my blog lately has been kind of boring and if I EVER EVER want to be ANYTHING like the amazing Bloggess then I need a not-so-boring blog that only posts “weekly” series and yada yada yada boring boring boring.
So with that said (yes I really do envision the day when my blog hits 1-2 million viewers and not because I write tutorials or boring crap either but because I write controversy and maybe even throw a little bit of sex advice in every once in a while – we can’t all forget the “sex column” that got Kelly and I pretty much thrown out of Rainbow River Pride which started the Havasu LGBT group in the first place – now can we?) here is the weekly (try not to make it so boring) recap of my week thus far (I mean technically it’s NOT over yet).
Friday (yes I have decided to go ALL the way back to Friday!) $180 was spent on two tires for the boat trailer. We spent $180 for two tires to be able to get the boat from Shawna’s place to our place which is probably less than five miles. But all in all – it was SOOOOO worth it! I know I haven’t seemed as excited as I should lately about the purchase of our boat, but I am truly happy about it! My mood lately mainly is because all I have seemed to be doing lately is sitting here bitching, moaning and groaning about money. In fact, I spent the ENTIRE weekend sad and depressed because I looked at our budget and thought we didn’t have enough $$ for the bills. Well turns out the excel spreadsheet we use to do our budget had a formula wrong in it somewhere between this month and October’s budget. I re-did the ENTIRE budget on Monday and turns out we’ll be okay. See the problem lies in the fact that in July we have to start paying for Cory’s insurance. I know the damn state of Arizona decided NOT to pay for insurance for people who don’t have children! Damn stupid state of Arizona … damn … oh wait! That was the Republicans who did that huh? Hehe! Oh never mind – either way – point being we now have to pay for it which is fine! We have the money! Anyway, so I may have been sad, depressed and mopping all weekend over a stupid formula that wasn’t even correct to begin with! I hope no one took it personal!
Anyway I am kind of bummed we don’t have the $$ to fix the boat up this summer, but whatever! We have a boat and by next summer – even if I have to sell my right arm (wouldn’t sell my leg because then I couldn’t get INTO the boat) – we will be out there on the lake, getting a sun tan, drinking some beer (well not me – I’ll stick to Diet Mt. Dew or Ice Tea), and driving all over this lake! You know I have lived in Lake Havasu since I was 9 (except for those three years I was in Tucson but I do try to forget those times) and I have NEVER really truly toured the lake. So next summer – I’m going to add that to my “to do” list.
So anyway – we got the boat! We spent Saturday SOMEWHAT cleaning it!! SOMEWHAT! I mean there is a LOT that needs to be done. Like the boat needs deep cleaned, new carpet and in my opinion a new paint job but we got it wet is the point.
Sunday – let’s not discuss Sunday.
Monday I went back to work!! After TWO WHOLE DAYS OFF, back to work I went. Now don’t expect me to write too much about work on this here blog. 1) I don’t want the pleasure of being mentioned in Mohave County Folks facebook page. Those damn right wing nut jobs are what give the Republicans a bad name and the County too and 2) I honestly on some days really have nothing to report.
Tuesday … what happened on Tuesday? Hmmm …. I supposed not much seeing that I can’t even remember Tuesday and it’s ONLY Thursday.
Wednesday – ah Cory decided to bring home a BIG HUGE ASS crate (and when I say crate I mean crate) of strawberries and tomatoes. Okay we ended up throwing half the strawberries away (now mind you these crates were free! We didn’t pay for them) because they were bad but what in the world am I to do with a huge ass crate of tomatoes! I DON’T EVEN LIKE TOMATOES!!! Oya! But whatever – I supposed I can make pasta sauce with them.
Today I went down to the Nautical to take pics of the boss and got a very educational update on the Horizon Six Flood Project. It’s actually very interesting! I never realized Havasu was sitting right under a water basin like that! Crazy!
Anyway so lots planned for the month of May! This weekend is Cinco De Mayo and I am making homemade chicken enchiladas. Next weekend is not only Terry’s Bday Party but Mother’s Day! The following weekend is our Housewarming Party and then of course Memorial Day Weekend in which I am trying to talk the parents and husband into going to the Hoover Damn. We shall see about that.
Anyway – see wasn’t this SO much more fun than boring old Coke and Love! I think so! However I do think the post needed more pictures and maybe even a video or two added in. Hmmm! Oh well – there is ALWAYS next time!
Love you all bunches!!
Ps – I am ONLY like 999,999,980 views away from my 1-2 million mark! : )

It’s Coke & Love time again. It’s based off of Wine and Love hosted by Nora! But because I really don’t like wine – I am calling it “Coke & Love” because I am addicted to Diet Coke. It’s where you share your weekly wines (or beer, liquor, soda- whatever your beverage preference is) and then your loves since last Thursday.
If you want to participate in Wine and Love (or whatever else you feel like calling it) you can link up to the series on Nora’s site.

Still lacking in motivation but Cory found this push up thing (I don’t know it helps you do push ups. I’ll have to snap a pic of it) that I wanna try to help me do push ups! I’ll get there soon! I know it’s no excuse but I’m still adjusting to the move or at least that’s what I keep telling myself Haha! But no seriously, I’ll get my motivation back somehow!
The weird weather continued this week, but I do think it is done now! In the triple digits this weekend! So happy! I <3 summer weather! But it’s just been so weird lately. Like one day we have our heat on and the next our air. Craziness!
Things That I’m Loving This Week …
Cory’s Mom was with us this past weekend recovering from being sick. Cory and I went to the store and got steaks to cook out on the grill! Ya know I never liked steaks or potatoes before until Cory. Now I do! He doesn’t get them too burnt and twice baked potatoes are my favorite!! Still not a big fan of regular boring old baked potato but I LOVE twice baked! Yum!
So speaking of grilling – we went to my parents last night for dinner (Mem cooked fish, potatoes, and green beans) and Idol and my parents gave us our House Warming gift early. They got us a new grill!
We are all excitied! We’re going to break it in tomorrow night with Grilled Chicken! Yum!!! I’ve never owned my own grill before (well I have a George Foremen but that doesn’t count).
So Cory has been pretty handy around the house lately. He made us a plant shelf for the window in our kitchen. I <3 it!
Oh and how could I almost forget – Cory and I are purchasing a boat from Shawna! We got to fix it up a bit and get some parts for it, but still! It’s our FIRST BOAT! We are so excited!
Oh and Grandma told us the other day she is getting us In Door/Out Door Carpet for our HUGE patio! Ehhhh! So excited for that too!
Ahhh … looking back – this was a rather good week!
Oh one last thing – I FINISHED MY WEBSITE LAYOUT! So if you are reading this through a reader take a moment to check it out and tell me what you think! http://sarahahall.com
What are your wines and loves of the week?

The Blog, The Design, The Story
Well I did it people!! I changed the layout of my site along with the actual title of it. I am still sarahahall.com but the tagline is now “The Blog, The Design, The Story” instead of “A Story About A Girl.” I like the new layout. I added some Java Script design to it. Take a look at it and tell me what you think! I like feedback!
Anyway today was a busy day but it resulted in a YUMMY dinner! I saw they had steaks on sale at Albertsons. So I figured I’d be nice and let the hubby cook steaks since we never eat steaks (red meat really). So we headed out and went to the 99 cent store first to get some stuff. We save so much money at that store I love it. Lol! Anyway then we went to Albertsons and got the steaks buy one pack and get one free. So it cost $10 for two packs. Good deal. I got strawberries to make homemade strawberry shortcake. It was yummy! The hubby bought me a plant. I have been wanting a hanging plant but they are pricy at Lowes. We got this one for $9.99 at Albertsons
Anyway so for dinner we had steaks, twice backed potatoes, asparagus with holindaes sauce, and homemade strawberry shortcake.
It was yummy!

Still having issues with this new layout I wanna do for my website. I figured out my clients site from last week but now I’m stuck on my own. Lol! I’ll figure it out though.
Still lacking in motivation. I think I need to start drinking coffee. Now we all know I don’t like coffee but Sue’s husband, Don, brought me a chocolate raspberry coffee from the human bean
today and I actually liked it. You could barely taste the coffee. So if I can find a really sweet non coffee like coffee I think I’ll be ok.
We have had weird weather lately. One day it’s hot and we have our air on and the next it’s cold and we need heat. Lol!
Cory’s mom has been sick. She’s doing better but still she has us worried.
Things That I’m Loving This Week …
Finally got my taxes done. I owe nothing to federal but get nothing back. I get a whole whopping $43 from state.
Still loving our new place!!!!
Celebrated Easter last Sunday with the fam. It was fun times.

Things Making Me Reach For My Bottle of Diet Coke …
Web design!! Ahhh! Just kidding! I love doing webdesign. I’m just frustrated at the moment with it. Doing a design for a client and can’t seem to get the header just right. I’m sure after tweaking with the code for eight hours, I’ll figure it out! LoL! Also trying to re-do my own website design to a more javascript based theme. I think I have figured it out and hope to display a new layout in the next couple of days on here. “Hope” being the keyword!
My motivation is lacking again! I have used the excuse all week that the only reason I’m not getting up at 5am to do my WiiFit workout is because 1) we don’t have batteries for the Wiifit board (or if we do they are still packed in a box) and 2) the Wii has not been officially hooked up to the TV yet. Yes, I know – horrible excuses! I can go get batteries at the 99 Cent Store for well 99 Cents and it’d take me five minutes to hook up the Wii! Grrr! Well maybe tonight I’ll get around to hooking up the Wii and I do have to go to the 99 Cent Store after work so I supposed I’ll pick up some batteries for my board.
So we got Cory’s car fixed! Cost us $520 and I STILL feel AAMCO lied to us but … WHATEVER! They told me when I called them Saturday (and their website says so too) that the repairs would be around $350 and we could go on a payment plan for them with no interest for six months and it’d be a pay at our own pace system. If we chose to do $40 a month then they’d take it out of our account ever month and so forth. If it wasn’t paid off in six months then we’d start to earn interest. Well he went down there on Monday and the repairs ended up being $420 and it wasn’t any “no interest” deal for six months. It turned out to be a Title Loan deal. Grrr! Well he signed up for it because neither of us realized what was going on. The end result – we ended up paying $520 three days later because there was no way I was paying $800 for repairs that cost $420 in the long run. So the way I look at it is we ended up paying what we would have paid for had we gone to Brake Masters. They wanted $500 something for repairs. So whatever … Lol!
Things That I’m Loving This Week …
I’m still loving our new place!! We still have knick knacks and whatnot to unpack but for the most part it’s coming along. I will have pictures this weekend – I PROMISE! And if you all are lucky – a video too! Hehe!
Oh good news on the $$ front. Even though we ended up paying $520 for repairs – we are still in the + and Cory got an unexpected refund check in the mail from Mohave Community College from like years ago. We also found out we’re getting $60 back from our old electric deposit which will go towards our NEW deposit. Hehe!
As much as it DOES take some getting use to – I do like our new “somewhat” free cable setup! The picture quality of the antenna is amazing and Roku is a fairly easy little box to navigate.
What are your wines and loves of the week?

A Question For My Readers
Sorry for the lack in pictures of our new place!! 1) we don’t “technically” move in until today! and 2) We don’t get internet installed until Saturday and we’re trying to bum off the neighbors unpassword protected WiFi. Lol!
Anyway as many of you know, I am opening up my own webdesign business. I have until April 2nd to pick a name (that’s when my $5.99 coupon for a domain name with Godaddy expires). So here is what I have narrowed it down to.
1) Sarah’s Creative Designs
or
2) Creative WWW Designs
Which one do you think I should go with?

My Failed Weekend of Chores
So I’m way behind on Idol Commentary! I was going to do it this weekend and then I lost my motivation to do so. I promise promise to get caught up! In fact going home to watch San Diego Auditions when I get off work (already have half of Pittsburgh wrote just need to finish it).
Yesterday I did manage to clean the kitchen and do laundry. : ) I attempted to dust but stopped half way through (maybe I’ll finish that tonight too).
I hate starting and not finishing things. Seems to be the story of my life.
Case in point:
- Affair Of the Mind (I WILL FINISH IT!!)
- Riddler Rewrite & Part 3
- The Kradam fan fic I was working on (come on u remember right?)
- Video blogging twice a month (I guess January is not over yet! Does giving my dog a bath and video taping it count? Lol!)
Ahhh! I better get to going on this Idol Commentary!
Oooooo on the bright side though I DID manage to change my website layout & create a client a new logo! haha! I guess the weekend wasn’t that much of a failure on chores after all!
Laterz,

The Puppy Dog Gets A Bath
First & foremost, I’d like you all to go check out my new site layout if you’re reading this via a reader! I really like my new layout! I did it in anticipation for Valentine’s Day, but I like it so much it just might stick around till after Vday has come and gone. What are you opinions on it?
Anyway we gave the puppy dog a bath today! He was pretty good considering it’s a puppy dog and bath. Lol! He loves drinking water though and jumping in the lake so you think a bath would be no problem. haha! It wasn’t too bad. Anyway I managed to get some on video:
and some photos as well:

My Choices, Ideas & Choices
Alright so I don’t know what I want to do. Go get my masters, go for another bachelors, or just do NOTHING!
Okay nothing is NOT an option! Lol!
So here’s my list of ideas. Maybe I write my ideas down in a list I can go from there with Pros and Cons of each.
- Masters of Arts in Criminal Justin
Pros & cons – it’s going for a masters degree! A masters degree is above a bachelor’s degree! But what jobs would I get with it? I am not physical able to work as a police officer or FBI agent. I WOULD LOVE to work for the FBI but with my knee and back it’s not an option! So what else can I do with it? Ah, not much! : ( - Bachelors in Psychology
Pros & cons – now to be a psychiatrist for the criminally insane is awesome in my opinion! To be able to go into a minds of a criminal and ask ‘why’ would be awesome! However, I don’t believe in medicine to cure psychological disorders. I don’t believe in the medical aspect of it. So how can I put myself into a career that I don’t really believe in? Than again, if I start to take the classes and get into the concept of it – could my mind be changed? - Bachelors in English or Creative Writing
Pros & cons – I don’t really NEED a degree to be a writer. It would broaden my writing skills though but I don’t think I’d enjoy it. I like to write without rules at times and I hate reading ‘boring’ books forced upon me which is what I’d end up having to read. So eh, probably not a good idea - Bachelors of Applied Science in Internet and Web Development
Pros & cons – I love webdesign!! I did take computer sciences at Pima and hated it. It was too boring but this is not computer science this is internet and web development! Oooo … okay I might have my answer! I can go to Phoenix for this degree with ASU or do it online.
Ok a Bachelors of Applied Science in Internet and Web Development from ASU it is!! Haha! Here I come ASU!!!
See I knew making a list was worth it!

Ps – application fee is only $50 and no $160 test! Haha! A total plus!

Well hello everybody! My 2 week vacation has officially started. It’s tradition that our office closes for 2 weeks every Christmas. It’s dead. Dead like a door knob during Christmas. So why stay open? Lol! So we use 2 weeks of our PTO and close down. So here I am!
What are my plans for my vacation? Well not much. We’re hoping to take the boys ice skating today at the London Bridge Resort’s new ice skating rink. I’ve never ice skated before so this should be fun. I have gone rollerblading but I head it’s not the same. Beyond that I want to do my January layout for my site, scan these thousands of pictures Cory has of his childhood into the computer, and at least finish Season 1 of One Tree Hill. Oh did I mention? They added One Tree Hill to Netflix! ALL EIGHT SEASONS! Ahhhh! I am so excited!
Anyway so I am really excited about Christmas this year. I feel, despite the fact that we don’t have much money this year, we still ended up getting people what they wanted. We were very creative with our gifts this year. I would love to sit here and tell you what we got Pops because I do think he is going to LOVE it and he doesn’t even see it coming, but I don’t want someone to read this blog and accidentally tell him. Lol!
Anyway have you guys seen the new facebook layout!!! Omg!! I love it!! I LOVE IT!!! The timeline is amazing! I have been waiting for two months since they announced it for this thing to come out. Ahhhh! It’s so awesome! If you don’t already have it. I recommend you go get it. You can get it here: http://facebook.com/timeline
Look at mine:

Anyway not much else to rant on at the moment!
Love ya guys,

Goals of December
Well I see everyone else making their “December Goal” lists. We all know I suck at making lists and actually sticking to them, but let’s try it. Maybe I’ll actually accomplish some things on this list. At least a couple anyway …
- Exercise!! I NEED to start getting up at 5am and doing my Wii fit before work! I just have too! I do have 2 weeks off though for Christmas. So for sure during that time period I will be bringing out the wii fit.

- Finish getting Christmas gifts! I have my parents, Grandma, Jr and the “girl and guy” gift on Cory’s side to get still and than I am done! We dropped off Karli, Keitan, and Kevin’s gifts while in LA this week. So we saved on shipping costs there!
- Learn to make homemade fudge! I saw this recipe on All Recipes . Com. I have to try it! It seemed simple enough!
- Get the oil changed in my car. I really need to stop putting that off. I was gonna do it today after work but I forgot to make an appointment. Not that I need an appointment. Oya! Maybe I’ll do it tomorrow …
- Make my “After the New Year” Blog design. I made the lovely Christmas Design that you see up now, but I’m gonna have to sit down and design a layout for after the Holidays. Oh I also want to redesign the LHRW site. I know I just did a redesign on it, but I don’t like it!
- Speaking of blogs – I want to start sponsors in January! It’s free! I’ll sponsor your blog on my side bar! If you’re interested – let me know!
- I want to do some Iphone 4s Vlogging! : ) I think it’ll be fun!
Okay I think that’s enough goals for now. Again I’m not good with this whole goal list thingy, but hey … maybe I’ll at least accomplish a couple. : )
Love ya guys,

Things that are making me reach for the my bottle of Diet Coke …
This weather!! Yes I am still bitching about the weather! I hate it! It got down to below 70 for a high yesterday! Brrr! Oh, and FYI – I hate the wind too!
Candy Corn (our fish) died on Halloween! At least he made it to Halloween though! Poor guy! We will miss you Candy Corn!
I <3 Batty (we changed the dog’s name to Bat Man aka: Batty because it suits him better. He has bat ears!
Hence the name: Batty) but he is annoying at times. He thinks he is a lap dog when he is not a lap dog. He’s way too big to be a lap dog. Batty is like a little kid. He won’t let you sleep past 8am on the weekends. I <3 Batty though. Just getting use to him – that’s all.
Things that I’m loving this week…
We are finally caught up on the AT&T bill! So happy!
I was just informed I can get my upgrade to an Iphone 4s sooner than I thought! So excited! I’ll have to wait till my tax return comes in February but still … that’s better than next November! Wooo! AT&T Loves me!
I went to the LGBT Halloween Party last Friday with Brookie. It was fun times! It was nice to see old friends again. I posted pics of the event on my Wordless Wednesday post. Check it out!
Pumpkins & anything pumpkin!!! Check out my Pumpkin Filled Weekend blog to see just how MUCH I <3 all things Pumpkin!
I got my first web design project with Sue’s homeowners association. So excitied! I can’t wait to work on it this weekend!
Speaking of Weekend – it’ll be a busy one! Cory and I are celebrating our 1 year Anniversary on Friday by going to the Aquarius in Laughlin for Seafood night. Saturday I have the Yucca Parade for Buster and than I need to work on the Home Owners website. It’ll all be fun though! Fun times! Don’t worry – I’ll take pics!
Anyway beyond that, there were more loves than cokes this week! : ) Always a good thing.
What are your loves/w(h)ines this week?

Things that are making me reach for the my bottle of Diet Coke …
I “feel funny!” I refuse to admit I think I am getting sick. I refuse! I don’t “do” sick. Mind over matter – that’s my motto. I think I have a sinus infection though. I take sudafed and I’m fine until it wears off.
Procrastination is still haunting me this week! I am going to attempt to work on SaCor Creations this weekend. I have a layout idea all in my head. I just need to put it down on paper. I’m not making any promises it’ll be done this weekend though. It probably wont with us going to the London Bridge Day Parade on Saturday and Cory’s mom coming up to visit, I doubt I’ll get much done, but at least I know where I’m going with it I guess.
Things that I’m loving this week…
We got three new fish on Monday!! There’s Sabastion (the big orange and black one), Ariel (the bigger of the two Neon Blue fish) and than Flounder (the smallest). : p When I get paid tomorrow, I’ll go buy them a bigger tank! Edgar’s old tank is a bit too small for them.
So my mom went to LA yesterday for more tests at the USC Medical Center. I watched Grandma for the day and spent the night. I got to sleep with my kitty, Edward!
Well he’s not a kitty anymore. He’s big and fat! When I moved back to Havasu from college my parents took us in. They adopted Edward and refuse to give him back. It’s okay though, Edward loves it there. All he does is eat, sleep and poo all day. Must be nice!
Anyway, so my mom got good news! All her tests came back negative. She doesn’t have cancer anywhere in her body except on her face. They are like 90% certain it didn’t go into her limp nods. : ) She has problems though with her blood. She clots very easily. So they are going to put her on some meds and do some more tests later before they have the actual surgery to remove the cancer from her face. They don’t want her to bleed to death in surgery. But the good news is – she’s going to be okay! : )
What are your loves/w(h)ines this week?
